The Resource Efficiency Knowledge Transfer Network is a free service funded by the Government’s Technology Strategy Board, Regional Development Agencies, Devolved Administrations & Research Councils. It aims to help UK companies reduce their waste by promoting:
Better use of materials and energy
Use of industrial wastes as a source of chemicals, fuels and other valuable materials
Recovery and processing of waste from one site, for use as a resource elsewhere.
It operates via an on-line information portal, and through the support of a dedicated team of Knowledge Transfer Managers, supplemented by regionally located Technology Managers supporting NISP, the National Industrial Symbiosis Programme.
The programme is managed by C-Tech Innovation, which provides innovation services to companies, universities, and government bodies.
